Welcome to the Spring edition of Inn-news from Innscribe.This month we are looking at how the increase in VAT is effecting licensees, how to counter counterfeit notes and some ideas from the BII & us on how to keep business ticking over in these slow months.

Effects of the VAT Increase

The price of a pint could be going up by at least 10p per pint according to The British Beer & Pub Association they estimate that the VAT rise and duty increases on their own would add 6p per pint, so it’s looking like 10p would be a minimum increase for licensees.
